Born on 8th May 1964 in the district Ludhiana, Dr D.K. Sharma earned his M.Sc. (Entomology) in the year 1988 and Ph.D. in Entomology in 1992. Dr Sharma joined PAU as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology, PAU in April 1992. Dr Sharma has an extensive experience in economic Entomology research, extension, and education. He has handled many ICAR projects while working with ICAR-AICRP on Post Harvest Technology and Engineering. He is presently working on stored grain Entomology. In the past he has been a part of developing equipments and technologies in honey production and processing systems. He successfully handled the ICAR project on Assessment of Postharvest losses of crops in Punjab. He has guided seven M.Sc. and three Ph.D. scholars. He has many research publications in national and international journals to his credit.
